New In Town

Absolutely, gut busting funny. This film tells the love story of two people who would have not otherwise come together without the bitter cold winter of Minnesota. It would be right to say that this is an objectively funny film, but the occurrences within the plot particularly hit home for a) those of us who live in the Midwest (specifically northern Minnesota or b) those of us who have ever visited the Midwest and felt, quite literally, left out in the cold. The humor is contagious and the story reaches a level of originality not often found among today's big name romantic comedies. I label this movie a 4 out of 5 stars for its general good humor and strikingly real portrayal of northern Minnesota.
